Jason Zedeck
Jason opened the Law Office of Jason Zedeck in January 2009 to help a variety of clients with the selection, acquisition, protection, prosecution and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights and domain names. Before starting his practice, Jason spent eight years as senior intellectual property counsel for one of the world’s largest entertainment and media companies. As in-house counsel, Jason handled all facets of trademark, copyright and domain name matters for film and television production divisions, cable and broadcast television channels, licensing and merchandising departments and interactive and Internet units including gaming and social networking websites.
Prior to going in-house, Jason practiced litigation at a prominent Los Angeles-based firm where he handled a variety of litigation matters, including defamation and rights of publicity cases, and was responsible for the firm’s trademark prosecution practice. Before joining the firm, Jason pursued a dual-degree program at Boston University graduating with a Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law and a Master of Science degree in Mass Communication, with distinction, from the College of Communication. While at Boston University, Jason completed a Concentration program in Intellectual Property Law, with Honors, and was a legal intern with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied communications, television production and visual arts.
Since 2001, Jason has been a member of the International Trademark Association and has served on several INTA committes including the Enforcement Committee, the Law Firm Services Committee and the Trademark Office Practices Committee. Jason also lectures and serves on panels discussing trademark, copyright and communication law topics.
Living in Los Angeles, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, a Registered Nurse, three daughters and dog, Lucky.
Jason has served on the board of Friends of Castle Heights Elementary School.
